Christine Brodnan believes in our shared responsibility to build stronger communities where all children and families can thrive. With over 15 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, particularly in education and youth development, Chris has focused her career on revitalizing organizations, building cross-sector coalitions, and improving outcomes through data-informed decision-making. 

Driven by a commitment to meaningful, lasting community change, Chris co-founded Amplify & Connect Advisors to help individuals, families, foundations, and businesses connect to causes that matter and maximize their impact in the community. 

Experience & Leadership

Chris is a strategic nonprofit leader, community connector, and philanthropic advisor with a deep commitment to advancing equity and opportunity. She is a Past President of The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc. (JLA), where she led the 2,000+ member organization through transformational change - driving a visionary strategic plan, launching a citywide focus on literacy, developing a new signature fundraiser and successfully hiring two new staff members.

She spent more than seven years at Horizons Atlanta, where she expanded programmatic reach, built a region-wide Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) system, and became a nationally certified quality assessor. As Site Director at Horizons Atlanta at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School, she led a thriving summer learning program, deepened community partnerships, and raised critical funding. Her early work at the Annie E. Casey Foundation helped launch the Georgia Campaign for Grade-Level Reading and anchored her focus on early childhood success.

An active civic leader, Chris serves on the boards of Voices for Georgia's Children, the Atlanta Children's Day Shelter, Neighborhood Nexus, and the Alliance Theatre. She is deeply engaged in her local community through her church and children's schools. 

Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Spanish and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Georgia, focusing in Nonprofit Administration, where she was named MPA Student of the Year. She lives in the Memorial Park neighborhood of Atlanta with her husband, Matt, and their two children, Jack (8) and Kathryn (4).

    • Committed to using data to drive decision making, exemplified by her appointment as Advisory Board Chair for Neighborhood Nexus, a nonprofit community intelligence system that provides data, tools, and expertise as a catalyst to create more equitable opportunity for all of the region’s residents

    • Proven success growing institutional fundraising and organizational visibility through modernized events, strategic brand partnerships, and data-informed donor engagement strategies at the Junior League of Atlanta and Horizons Atlanta. 

    • A passionate advocate for equity and systems change, previously serving as Vice President of Advocacy & Initiatives at the Junior League of Atlanta and currently chairing the Public Policy Committee on the Voices for Georgia’s Children Board of Directors.
